During its fiscal Q2 earnings conference call today, Activision announced it is prepping a game based on the upcoming Dreamworks animated film Monsters vs. Aliens.

The movie is being produced in 3D and is scheduled for release in March of 2009.

A re-imagining of classic 1950's sci-fi films, Monsters vs. Aliens is currently in production and hasn't announced any of its cast, yet.



Activision didn't release any details about the game tie-in but said it would be part of the company's fiscal 2009 lineup, which ends in March 2009.
