Oct 19, 2004 - 11:28 AM
"Universal has set a release date for a new special edition of Meet the Parents which is being released to coincide with the arrival of Meet the Fockers at cinemas.

The disc will be available to own from the 14th December this year, and should retail at around $29.98. As well as an anamorphic widescreen transfer and both English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 tracks, the disc should include a deleted scene featuring Robert De Niro singing "Love is in the Air" during the wedding, a Preparing to Meet the Fockers featurette which reveals the inside story of Greg and Pam's disaster-prone romance as well as a Silly Cat Tricks featurette in which the film's animal wrangler reveals how she trained Jinx the cat for his many on-screen antics.

Completing the package will be 35 all new outtakes and a Truth About Lying featurette, in which a polygraph expert from the NBC TV series Meet My Folks reveals the eye-opening truth about detecting deception. Available from the same day will be a Ben Stiller Collection. This will retail at $59.98, and is set to include the widescreen editions of Along Came Polly, Mystery Men, Reality Bites and the special edition of Meet the Parents.
