Dreamworks has acquired the movie rights to the fantasy book series, Children of the Lamp. They've already set up Nina Jacobson to produce and scribe Lee Hall to help pen the script adaptation of it.

Producer Nina Jacobson is certainly making a name inside circles. Previous to this project, she helped Disney churn out franchises such as Chronicles of Narnia, Pirates of the Caribbean & Princess Diaries. She has moved onto Dreamworks since that time.

For those of you not familiar with the story of the Children of the Lamp series (it's British based), the first 3 books in the series follow a family of Genies who travel the world posing as regular humans. They can still grant wishes though.
