It will be featured on the soundtrack for /www.dreamworksfansite.com/intothewest"">Into the West, a new series about American frontier life that is being billed as a six-week television event.

The show is being produced through Spielberg's DreamWorks studio and will air on the U.S. cable channel TNT beginning June 10.

It tells the colossal story of the opening of the American West, a dramatic, personal tale of the adventurous exploration of the American wilderness, the clash of two cultures, the rush to riches in a new land and the building of a new civilization.

McLachlan, the singer known for such songs as Good Enough and Hold On, recently announced she was planning to take a break from making music after her current series of concerts. She was forced to postpone a handful of dates because of laryngitis before resuming the Afterglow tour.

Robertson is a former member of the Band who also had a successful solo career with songs like Somewhere Down the Crazy River. He is no stranger to soundtracks, having composed the scores for the Martin Scorsese films Raging Bull and The Color of Money.

The two stars re-worked World on Fire as a duet. The video will feature scenes from the TV series.

According to an item in Liz Smith's gossip column in the New York Post, the half-Mohawk Robertson is also currently working on a stage musical about Native Americans.
