"Jeremey Merrill who was one of the lucky people to work on 'Flags of our Fathers' sent us half a dozen images with the cast, director and author.
Jeremey says, ""I was both an extra and a cast member. I was am extra for most of the movie until I landed 2 key roles. First I was the unnamed flamethrower atop Mt Suribachi. That was a very special thing for me personally to be a part of because I?m in the military myself"".
He adds ""I?m in the Air Force and I also had a Grandfather who was a Corpsman in the Navy that worked alongside Doc Bradley, he also named his oldest son Bradley after the Doc. Later my Grandmother had a chance to meet him in a factory in Chicago where she worked assembling bombs for the war. So, this film is more that just cool to me. It?s kind of a part of my life, being in the military and having had family fight alongside these same individuals in the war. It?s very special to me"".
Enjoy his first role, Jeremey got part in a second role where he was a cast member was a scene with Doc Bradley in a shell hole where he a looking for Iggy and we discover the hidden Japanese tunnel under in the bottom of the shell hole.
""I was very lucky just to be a part of this whole thing. I just happen to be stationed in Iceland at the right time and have enough leave saved up to be a part of the movie. I?ve attached some pictures that you can do what you like with. Thanks for allowing us to send in our comments and pictures. God bless"".
