Unfortunately, director Spielberg is taking his next movie /webmaster.waroftheworlds.com/click.html?c=ETFYGW"">War of the Worlds and was only able to give his message on video. I am very honored to be presented the award of Akira Kurosawa, who is my most praised man. This time, I will be shooting War of the World and not able to come to Japan, but will be there on promotion with Tom Cruise, next May or June. Kurosawa being my definite teacher of filming, and I pay my respects to him. Again, thanks for the award, he commented his happiness in winning the award.
