"The Count of Monte Cristo screenwriter Jay Wolpert is penning Escape Artist at DreamWorks, reports Variety.

The film is about a professional escape expert who is hired to break someone out of prison and is shocked to find out who he's liberated.

Wolpert also wrote the original draft of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on which he shared story credit. At Spyglass he is in development on Ironbow: The Legend of William Tell.
