Author Stephen King and his son upcoming book 'Throttle' will be featured in the anthology book He Is Legend: Celebrating Richard Matheson and they have chosen as their Matheson touchstone the short story “Duel,” which was the basis of Steven Spielberg’s feature-length directorial debut.

It’s not exactly a collaboration, but the Kings’ version of the Matheson story will in a sense be the closest thing to a Stephen King-Steven Spielberg co-venture. The 1971 effort for ABC-TV received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Movie Made for TV.
