The creation of summer blockbusters. The first film to reach the coveted 0 million mark. Nominated for Best Picture, while winning the Oscars for Best Sound, Best Score, and Best Film Editing. This film is quoted as being "A fun movie to watch, not a fun movie to make." Spielberg describes himself as having great 'courage and stupidity' in the making of this film. However you want to put it, this is one of the greatest films ever made, and it's a Spielberg classic. Spielberg has accomplished the impossible and created the greatest shark tale (no pun intended) ever told.

PICTURE

This DVD transfer is the best looking format that Jaws has ever been presented in. It is an incredible picture for a 70's film with beautiful color of Martha's Vineyard. Some shots are cleaner than others, but overall the look of the film is phenomenal. It's astonishing after all of the production's problems and the disadvantage of filming at sea how wonderful this picture became.

SOUND

Jaws won the Academy Award for Best Sound and there's a reason for it. A great mix with the inclusion of John Williams' delightfully thrilling, Academy Award winning score and fascinating ocean sounds, it's perfectly seamless.
